Some highlights of the trip were (in no particular order) -- Went to the previous capital of Thailand -- Ayuthaya Spent time with my friend and his girlfriend in Korat Got a photograph of an elephant walking in the street in Korat It's always a highlight to spend time in Pattaya! Ate breakfast in a Thai family's home Spoke with people in Phuket about their experiences involving the December 26th tsunami Learned how to say "New wood does not burn, does it"? in Thai -- "mai mai mai mai" National/International Crisis What do you know -- I was there and nothing bad happened. As a matter of fact, something good happened. The Miss Universe Contest was held in Thailand. It ended in Bangkok on May 31st. As I have mentioned on other pages that I have created on my Web site, I discovered that my friends and family who use AOL's software are not able to access the pages if they contain pictures. With that in mind, I have created 2 set of pages here. One contains pictures and the other contains text. Sorry for the inconvenience.
