It was not easy putting the intake manifold on!   There are rubber seals on the front and back.   Since I had to stand inside the engine compartment and maneuver the 80 lb. manifold in place, it kept pushing the rear rubber seal out of place.   After adjusting it three times ... and still not being sure that it was in place, I got it.
