I take this trip every year (at least I try to make it).   Some of the highlights were --
1) My friend had a difficult time with the hike to the lake.
2) The fishing was spectacular.   One cutthroat trout that my friend caught was red
halfway up its sides.   It was as colorful as an arctic char.   (There's a picture of it on the

3) On Saturday afternoon, it rained for 3 hours.   Between the storm cells, it hailed 4
times.   We had to move the tent to a higher spot because it was in water 2 inches deep.
4) On the way back out, it rained on us halfway through the hike.   We had to throw all
of the wet gear into the truck. What a mess!

Overall, we had a great time. Near the end of the trip, my friend mentioned that he
would gladly return someday.
