The Pier
- The bottom half of the mount contains the Legs, Base, Stem, Turnbuckles,
and Cables. The Legs have levelers which are used to balance the
mount. The "working part" of the levelers are made
of threaded pipe from 'C' Clamps. They are welded to silver
dollar-sized pieces of steel. The reason for having "outside
levelers" is to prevent the mount from swaying to and fro and
to-and-fro.
- The bottom part of the stem screws into the Base and the top part of the
stem screws into the Platform. The hole near the bottom of the stem
is used for inserting a pipe that helps to remove the stem from the Base
or the stem from the Platform in case any of them get stuck together.
